um so and he was my best mate at my wedding so um we did this show and it was in myrtle beach it's like tourist central it's like blackpool in the sun i suppose uh there's 14 million family tourists a year so after the show opened it was a big success he said you want to run the theater uh because he didn't have anyone to he bought this 3 000 seat theater and didn't want to run it so i was 23 three maybe 24 and running this theater had 150 people and I was like the the sort of the young English guy putting the show on and running the theater and annoying everyone from South Carolina so it was really like trial by fire and the show went on and on um every year we'd sort of and we started having different versions it came to London and then the real tipping point the moment that changed everything was that a guy came to see me called Tim Lawson from Australia and And he said he might have a spot at the Sydney Opera House for our Le Grand Cirque show.
