Um, I'm on several boards, um, including the National Institute of Circus Arts, who came to CollArts after 20 plus years at Swinburne.

And so we have just about one of everything at ColArts now, including actual circus artists.

And today we are talking about wearable technology and female athletes.

So I've invited along a lecturer from the Sports Innovation Research Group at Swinburne University of Technology in Australia.

He's a specialist in the social effects of sport, technology and gender.

We have Professor Michelle Lincoln, who is the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President of the University of Canberra, who is a speech pathologist by training and has done lots of interesting, exciting things.

My things are out of order, but I've got Professor Pascal Quester, who is the Vice-Chancellor and President of Swinburne University of Technology, and is a customer behaviour and marketing communication specialist by training.

Yes? And we have Professor Taryn Jones, who is the Pro Vice-Chancellor of Education at Macquarie University, who is a physiotherapist by training.

Excellent.

So a dual sector has got this capacity to scaffold the learning around the learner, which is what we should all do.

But it remains a high friction experience for the students.

And to my great shame, one of the things that I discovered when I arrived at Swinburne is that for some of our vocational students, it was actually easier to go into higher education somewhere else than to do it with ourselves.

So there is a kind of important call.
