I did see a surprising game in the Bundesliga.

Elversberg almost beat Bayern.

I mean, yeah, they lost 2-1, but yeah, they put up a real fight.

Maurice Krattenmacher, who is a guy from Munich playing for Elversberg right now, yeah, scored the 1-1 equalizer.

And yeah, like I said, they almost beat them, but in the end lost to Bayern, which is, yeah...

Not a big surprise, but the way the game went was really, really entertaining.

I think they're an excellent team.

But Schalke and Elversberg have managed to frustrate them quite

well,

Henes Behrens, who was at Hoffenheim, has joined Augsburg, looks great at left back.

Felix Keitel, who is great that Elversberg are being noticed because he's been a great story, isn't it? Yeah, it's really good because the thing about him as well is that he wasn't a defensive midfielder and he's been switched into that position.

And even Mika Bauer, who was great for Paderborn, has gone to Celtic.

So these are guys that I think Klopp has been really clever with because I think the general message he's sending out to the league is, look, lads, if you play well, you're in with a shot.

But first, before we just get into Friday night and get straight into predictions, some some big news, obviously, around Germany and in Jurgen Klopp's first.

german national squad that's finally been announced and there's lots of lots of newcomers i think there's 11 in total um some really interesting picks uh just wondering if you'd uh had any initial thoughts on on some of those kind of standout players um some you know some nice some really nice nominations as well i think it's it's fair to say um you know looking at the likes of uh Well, Keitel from Elversberg is insane, I think.

So I've actually penciled down a 5-0 here because I just feel as though Bayern, they've not really fully caught fire for me this season yet.

Obviously, like that turgid win at Elversberg last week, they've only really scored two goals against two promoted teams.

So they will want to let fire a little bit.

And admittedly, probably one of the more lesser known names in the Germany squad.

Yeah, well, you don't have to say that because we know everybody has never played for Germany.

what? I've tried to figure out because obviously he's a Frankfurt striker and I've arrived at Jonas Etnobalib, I think, which makes it easier for me, but whatever we prefer.

And, well, we discussed him before that because what a great story.

And I think, you know, only a couple of years ago, he got dropped by Perugia in Serie C, was without a club until the summer from when he was released by Perugia, signed for Nissen in the fourth tier of Germany, then signed for Elversberg, then in the Zweite Bundesliga, did that well, and then Eintracht signed him for around 8 million euros in January.

You and I went to the Eintracht Dortmund game when he made his debut.

Really competitive game.

Sure, Bayern was dominant statistically, but Elversberg has showed that they are absolutely 100% not a pushover, and that's exciting news for the Bundesliga.

Yeah, Elversberg's in sixth place now.

Do I expect them to stay there? Absolutely not.

But it's awesome to see a newly promoted team come in and play the way that they have played so far to start this season.

For the Bundesliga, sure, Bayern Munich are going to buy everyone else from that league.

But the most interesting story in the Bundesliga this year is at Elversberg, who were in the league for the first time.

Like, that's the best story.
