As of March 7, 2022, 30-year-old Georgina Garshala has officially been missing for four years, and there's still no evidence to suggest what happened to her.

Her family have been very critical of Sussex Police, who would later admit that mistakes were made in the initial investigation into Georgina's disappearance.

Her case has now been upgraded from a missing person case to a murder inquiry.

But four years on, we still have no body and no evidence as to what happened to Georgina.

So, when March 7th and 8th and 9th came and went and there was no phone call from Georgina, her parents knew that something had gone horribly wrong.

It wasn't unusual for Georgina to be gone, but what was unusual for her was to not be in contact with her children or her family.

In the coming days, after March 7th, 2018, Andrea begged the Sussex Police to take her daughter's disappearance seriously, but unfortunately, they did not.

At first, it appeared to them as though Georgina had gone off to her friend's house and that she would be back in her own time.

A man from Polgate has been jailed for a string of burglaries across Eastbourne, Sussex Police has said.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police said, Stephen Stacey, 33, burgled six addresses and attempted to burgle a seventh between 17 March and 29 April this year.

During the burglaries, Stacey would often knock at the door of the property to check no one was home before smashing through a back door or window and taking items from the address.

Stacey was first arrested on 14 April in connection with two burglaries and one attempted burglary that took place between 17 March and 10 April.

At hearing at Lewis Crown Court one month later, 1 June, Stacey pleaded guilty to all charges and was remanded into custody ahead of his sentencing on 10 August.

Stephen Stacey, 33, of Southfield, Polgate, appeared at Lewis Crown Court on 10 August and was jailed for three years.

Detective Sergeant Jake O'Reilly said, "...we understand that the impact of burglaries can be long-lasting for victims, not just financially, but emotionally too." Sussex Police will continue to investigate any report of burglary, pursuing all reasonable lines of inquiry to hold offenders accountable for their crimes, bring justice to victims and work to ensure members of our community feel safe.

It's not yet clear why that sign has come down but one eyewitness told us there was widespread confusion in the aftermath of what happened.

Sussex Police last night confirmed that a 41-year-old man from Eastbourne died in the incident.

They say his next of kin have been informed and that specialist officers are with his family.

Hunnisett had the previous evening been arrested on suspicion of murder following the subsequent discovery of the body of a 57-year-old man, Peter Bick, in the bedroom of a flat in Dorset Road South in Bexhill, following information he gave to officers there.

In a statement subsequently issued through Sussex Police, Mr Bick's parents, Bernard and Eileen, told of the family's devastation, saying, Peter was a loving son and we saw him regularly.

He had recently moved to Bexhill and had quickly settled into life there.

He was very friendly and was well liked by the many people who met him.

He will be sorely missed by a large number of friends and family.

The one thing he didn't deserve was to have such a violent and horrendous death, so therefore I hope that Mr Hunniset will never have the opportunity to commit a similar crime.
