Stewart's Shops

Yeah.

It's, I'll reflect on this too, is where, uh, when I lived in Upstate New York and when I was going to college, we had a representative from Stewart's Shops, which is, like, the con- Wawa-esque convenience store in the Capital Region.

It, and it's amazing, by the way.

And, um-

Yeah.

But, um, anyway, he came in and he was saying, "You know, the, if you look at the national polls, the Capital Region of New York consumes 20% less ice cream than the rest of the country.

And if you actually look at our polls, the Capital Region eats 10% more ice cream than the rest of the country." It's like the, the polls that, the national polls don't include Stewart's Shops ice cream.

Our polls do.

And what would it

say? I think I've been to a Stewart's, but I didn't get no root beer because I'm not a fan.

I wouldn't like a weed-flavored one, too, though.

I like weed, but I'm not so crazy

La Capital Tacos won first place in 2026 Troy Troutfest People's Choice Competition.

And Stewart's Shops is closing its store at 487 Fourth Street in Troy, citing a small footprint and inability to expand services at this location.

So somehow I, I stumbled upon this news article about Stewart's ice cream.

James, do you like Stewart's ice cream?

Um, you know, I haven't tried...

We work with Stewart's Shops, and then our biggest customer we got last year was Wegmans.

So Wegmans approached us and said, "Hey, we love your products.

We love that you're local New York.

See the FDA website, foodsafety.gov, or recalls.gov if you're worried about wood in your Nestle Toulouse.

Also, the convenience chain Stewart's Shops announced that they were calling some of their ice cream due to the presence of metal, specifically half-gallon containers of Heavenly Medley and vanilla chocolate strawberry items with expiration dates in February that were sold at Stewart's Shops.

On an adjacent note, Starbucks was sued by consumers for allegedly labeling their protein drinks as sugar-free when they actually have more sugar than a Reese's peanut butter cup.

That's the comparison made by AP News, not me.

Anyway, someone at Anvo knows a trend when they see one, and now its 20-ounce limited edition glass owl mug is available for $15 to Anvo rewards members and $20 to the general public beginning October 1st.

[upbeat music] One shout-out to Stewart's Shops for again winning the title of best milk in New York State during the state fair in Syracuse.

This is the 11th time the retailer has won the title and the fifth year in a row.

To celebrate, the chain of more than 400 C-stores awarded loyal customers double punches on its milk club card for a week.
