Uh, but you know, if they keep on winning games, they're gonna be in this discussion.

Uh, but more about when you look down south, kind of the, not necessarily the pecking order 'cause they're not all ranked by each other, but when you look at Tarleton State versus SFA versus Austin Peay, like, who kind of emerges out of that bunch, uh, that can really, you know, elevate themselves into, you know, potentially that top-tier conversation or, you know, at least a tier two type of team that can challenge a tier one team, whether it be in, in the quarterfinals or the semifinals.

Right now Tarleton State is three.

You have SFA at number seven.

Uh, then Austin Peay is at number nine.

Uh, Tarleton State goes to Austin Peay this week in a huge game.

That's a top 10 matchup.

Austin Peay hasn't lost at home since the end of the 2024 season, so that's a, a major matchup right there.

It's gonna be a tough, uh, stretch at the very end of the season because you've gotta face some teams that are gonna be really tough.

You haven't-- I th- I don't even think you've played, uh, you haven't played SFA yet, and in fact, I think you only play 'em once, and from looking at the schedule, you do.

So the good news is, is that you got UT Rio Grande Valley at the Fieldhouse too, and they're, they're typically pretty good, so...

But the next, uh, like I said, next game or next match for the Lions, uh, is, um, Thursday, like I said, 6:30 at the Fieldhouse.

Then in the conference championship game, it was tied.

This is gonna determine who goes to, like who wins the Southland and who goes to the national tournament.

It was tied up until the very, very, very, very end, and SFA put two goals in one.

Um, you know, basically the, it, it was just one of those things where anything can happen in the tournament.

I think it's, I think it somewhat does at the D6 level, but like FCS football is...

Like the people who are online complaining about what college football has become, like go to an SFA game or a Tarleton game.

And I mean, 'cause Tarleton gets big crowds.

Like you can go find, um, some legit home situa- I was talking to Pete Rosamando, uh, from Lamar earlier today.

... starting to feel themselves.

So, um, the state of Texas has three teams in the top 10 at the FCA, uh, FCS ranks.

You know, Tarleton's two, SFA's four, and then Lamar is 10.

So-

I, I, I would, uh, give all of them the at least somewhat decent, um, level.

I don't know, Baylor, SFA, A&M.

Uh, uh, I'm not gonna make you rank 'em.

I'm not gonna make you rank all three of your schools right now.

It was WT North versus WT South is...

Incarnate Word and Stephen F. Austin played.

Jamison Garcia finally back out on the field.

He had four receptions for 86 yards for Incarnate Word.

Jaden Hibbler carried the ball eight times for 58 yards.

But for Stephen F. Austin, Jamel Acosta-Lewis had an interception in this ballgame.

And SFA won 28-26 in a dandy.

Yeah, it was a dandy.

Everyone seems to be pretty confident the injuries are short-term injuries, so I don't think you can necessarily dock them for that.

And sorry, they've played much better competition than Stephen F. Austin has.

They don't have multiple losses like South Dakota has.

Their strike to schedule is way higher than Lehigh and Tarleton.

Uh, the owner had another club called Crossroads, which was a rock band there.

It's at, right next to Stephen F. Austin University, and we would go play and play band stuff, and they would use our PA sometimes.

So I went and, uh, saw Garth Brooks play Bullwinkle's before he really took off, and I, I don't think I've ever- ... watched a human being engage a crowd quite like that.
