Yeah, me neither.

The reason for that that Standards Australia gave is that these standards were well past their renewal slash revision date and more current guidance such as the NEPM is already available, which is, of course, a funny comment because the NEPM heavily relies on these standards.

And

now the standards, hey, you know, they're kind of nonsense.

Now we've got a lot of work to do on safety and on standards.

We'll be working with Standards Australia and with all the state safety regulators.

States will need to review their strata laws.

But this is happening around the world.

So basically what Responsible Wood does is, so Responsible Wood is actually what's known as a standards development organisation.

So we're actually licensed and accredited by Standards Australia to write and develop standards.

We've got two standards, so one for sustainable forest management And that Sustainable Forest Management Standard, that covers that 17 million hectares of forest that's certified.

So essentially at the end of the day, the forest manager needs to demonstrate that no deforestation takes place.

For us, where the progress is likely to be is more in in things like the codes and standards, accessing the codes and standards in a more user friendly way, providing better information for people, reducing it down by giving, you know, by making the codes and standards more user friendly.

So, you know, in this last federal budget, Standards Australia, was given some funding to work with the construction industry to develop an AI interface for standards.

And so, you know, that's something I see being able to happen really, really quickly because it's not kind of pulling from many data sources, it's really just pulling from their own and perhaps some trusted data sources like our own.

And then you see some AI developments in planning portals and so forth.

All of us in this room are going through that journey together.

So I'm pleased to announce that Australia will fund the development of an AI toolkit for the Pacific in partnership with Standards Australia.

Importantly, that toolkit is developed government to government, bespoke as required by each of your nations.

to support the governance and the policy work which I heard today is so critical as the foundation before you put the tech on top of it.
