The Fort Bliss project remains in early planning.

Project Jupiter, which is further along, is located about 20 miles northwest of El Paso in Santa Teresa, New Mexico, and is being developed by BorderPlex Digital Assets and Stack Infrastructure, with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure as the tenant.

Together, these developments could materially increase regional electricity demand, and in some cases, natural gas demand.

However, Enbridge has not publicly identified any individual data center project as a customer of its proposed new line.

Like literally, that's the only thing that they invest in and develop and grow.

And IPI Partners was formed several years ago, and it's got portfolio companies in this ecosystem, including Stack Infrastructure, Beale Infrastructure, Radius DC.

And then in about 2020, they identified that enhancing communication infrastructure into these large, dense compute environments was such a critical component that it was worthwhile to approach that from their investment thesis.

And they made an original investment in DF&I or dark fiber and infrastructure in Northern Virginia.

Not the big gigawatts, but, you know, right now there's one new data center that's got steel frame going up in Hayward.

It's being done by a company called Stack Infrastructure.

There was two other large institutional owners that, in that same area because it happens to be close to a, a substation, that were planning to tear down reasonably good, you know, warehouse buildings, you know, ones that were built, you know, twenty five, thirty years ago, reasonably good buildings, and to, to do data center, but that spigot is, is, has been shut down locally.

And I think in a lot of communities, uh, you know, the data centers become the new whipping boy just-

Ever since that August 3rd letter was sent out, we have just seen a wave after wave of data center companies, of developers, coming out and saying they're supportive of it.

Governor Greg Abbott today announced that Microsoft, Hut8, and Equinix, Stack Infrastructure, Anthropic, and Nightpeak Energy, Amazon, Lancium, and Cipher Digital will comply with the standards and guidelines he established for data centers.

It's really the governor and the industry are kind of in lockstep on this.

Uh, they, they see this as a good and responsible path forward.

The move builds on the twelve billion dollar commitment Amazon announced in February and, when fully built out, is expected to create up to seven hundred and fifty full-time data center jobs and support roughly twenty-five hundred additional positions in the broader community.

Stack Infrastructure is developing and owning all three campuses and expects them to support up to two thousand two hundred and fifty construction jobs.

Amazon says it is covering its own grid costs.

Southwestern Electric Power Company, or SWEPCO, continues receiving full cost funding from Amazon for the new energy infrastructure and grid upgrades needed to serve its data centers, alongside up to four hundred million dollars in public water infrastructure upgrades the company says will not be billed to residents.
