There was no whispers of, you know, the way that the club kept it under wraps was a miracle, really.

very rare for Saints to be doing well over the years anyway that things haven't escaped even this week like you think about the only reason really that the leakages have happened with the two rumoured signings obviously one's been announced today in Christian Tuipulotu the winger from St. George but the only reason like these rumours have started was because of Kevi's own podcast where Dobbins has kind of alluded to two big name signings that were going to be announced as early as this week, whether Tuipa Lottu was one of them too, but rumours are Sam Verrills is coming.

He was linked actually in the Australian press to St. Ellen's around April.

... what the relationships are, and they wanna see how it's making it to the top tier.

I, I, I'd, I'd love to watch something, don't know whether Saints have any- anything planned, something on, uh, Percival or Max's last game.

Of course, we are already looking with one eye towards the play-offs and what comes after this Saints game.

As we spoke about, you've only played once in the last couple of months.

I think it's one game since the middle of July.

I think when you came back for that Warrington game, y-y-you could tell you were trying to do something similar.

You were, you were playing with a lot of emotion, but that ended up getting you in trouble again.

How do you find the balance against Saints of, of taking it to that pitch and showing who you are, but, you know, still playing the right side of the line?

I don't think, uh, my emotions got my ban.

It could be a great atmosphere at St Helens as well.

An emotional night there with Johnny Lomax and Matt Purcell retiring.

You know, when I first come over, you can understand why, just watching them play, seeing how professional they are.

Yeah, they're proper St Helens players, those guys.

You know, talk about identity and DNA.

I, I went into it expecting 60, 70, if, if, if I'm gonna be brutally honest because we saw that back in 2023.

So, um, now the Wigan game, mate, it was, it was a good, good learning curve for them and I know we'll come onto Saints this week, but I think the play- the young lads who took to the field that day, they'll, they'll learn a hell of a lot coming up against some of the best players in the comp, so it'll, it'll stand us in good stead going forward.

I'll tell you what, Bazza, you mentioned Saints.

Well, whether it was on purpose or not, um, it put pressure on Leeds who are then beat St. Helens, didn't they? That, that, that much changed lineup for the Robins meant that it was pretty much, you know, if we're honest, a guaranteed victory for Wigan.

It meant Leeds had to go beat Saints and ultimately look where we are now.

That defeat has, has made it a little bit more comfortable for John in that play-off spot.

Yeah, it has and looking at the Leeds game, I know they put a bit of a number on Saints, but I didn't think Leeds was quite clinical in that game.
