Now, a potential landing spot could be North Queensland, where Walker's younger brother, Tyson, is emerging as a rising star.

There's even speculation of a blockbuster swap involving Cowboys co-captain Tom Dearden, who has previously been linked with a move to Sydney for family reasons.

I think going to Melbourne- and playing cut for the majority of the year will be a real wake-up call.

Because people used to compare him to a young Payne Haas at the Rabbitohs when he was coming through SG and he was the captain there.

And when he made his debut, people spoke about him with that sort of potential.

It's been long enough now that that narrative has flipped and people are starting to talk about him like he hasn't realised his potential because he hasn't.

He sort of gets the job done every single week.
