Sophos published research, that is a security vendor researching the market it sells into, so weigh it accordingly, finding that MSPs estimate 46% of their customers already rely on them to act as chief information security officer.

And the trigger is ordinary.

One Trust's governance report, again a governance software company surveying its own buyers, found nearly half of organizations had at least one incident in the past year where an AI system took an action nobody approved.

From a hacking perspective, you're going to see people stand up capabilities that used to be the kind only intelligence agencies could do.

Sophos, a cybersecurity company, puts the average current cost to recover from a ransomware attack, excluding the ransom, at one point seven million dollars, up eleven percent year on year.

In the aggregate, cyberattacks cost the global economy ten point five trillion dollars last year.

If cybercrime were a country, it would be the world's third largest economy.

[upbeat music] Alan Weinberger built a room for service providers in nineteen eighty-four and ran it for four decades.

He died in July of twenty twenty-five, and his family sold it to a trade association chaired by Sophos and vice-chaired by Pax8.

Every number in that deal moved in the members' favor.

Flamingo raised four and a half million dollars, led by Vertex Ventures, bringing it to six point seven million total to build a platform called OpenFrame.

There's a ton of different providers out there that do that, right? Some of the best names in, in the market.

Single One, Sophos, CrowdStrike, right, are, are some of the well-known names out there.

So give me a one-minute high-level walkthrough about what Sophos does and what is your role in it.

I think the easiest way to describe what Sophos does is we provide security products and services to the mid-market where they don't have either the technology, the knowledge, or the governance to secure their own environments.

We particularly focus on those lower maturity organizations.

We have folks in from Google.

We have folks in from Sophos, Checkpoint, Microsoft, Johns Hopkins.
