Solid State Records

Today we welcome XTOL guitarist Ole Berthe to the podcast.

XTOL's new record, Aura of Decay, is out this Friday on Solid State Records.

Ole talks about his decision to leave XTOL after Undeceived, what brought him back for Synergy, the enjoyment of writing music for XTOL, what the future of the band could hold, and more.

It was a lot of fun having Ole on the podcast.

But

yeah, I followed Solid State Records and... tooth and nail and you know if they had like some heavier bands like all right i'll check them out i'm like like this is like oh my god this changed my life i'm going to fucking church tomorrow no that's not happening but all right do they have some good tunes maybe

Well, let's do another list here.

Today we are joined by 90s pop rock country project out of Los Angeles, California.

Before country, he spent years in heavy metal as the guitarist of My Children, My Bride on Solid State Records, then moved into indie folk with the Woodsman's Babe.

The Woodsman's Babe...

He also released a solo piano album, Everywhere We Go, and wrote the memoir, Sleeping in Parking Lots.

Not polar opposites.

It's like a play on words." And this is when they went back to Solid State Records and they did a cuss word.

I have to learn the layout of this house.

But we'll talk about that.
