Schlumberger
SLB is the world's premier oilfield-services company as measured by market share. While the industry is largely fragmented, SLB holds the first or second competitive position in many of the differentiated oligopolies in which it operates. Also known as Schlumberger, the company was founded in 1926 by two brothers bearing the same last name. Today, it's most known as a global industry leader in innovation, while it focuses its strategy on its three growth engines: core, digital, and new energy businesses. Over three-fourths of its revenue base is tied to international markets, while the company boasts roughly $3 billion in digital-related revenue.www.slb.com

so but what i am thinking is and this kind of a counter trend idea but i rather be long right now let's say oil services oih etf and short xop the integrated oils thinking that oil can come off exons and mobiles of the world will react with that more so than the schlumberger's halliburton's and baker hughes as well so as a pair trade i'm more apt to be kind of if i want to have exposure in the sector and i do i'd rather be long the oil service names than the the integrated names right now i personally own xle i bought it earlier this year And I myself am contemplating if I take some off here.
R
10:18Rick BensignorGUEST
And that's obviously XOP and OIH are all component pieces of the bigger energy sector itself.
R
10:27Rick BensignorGUEST
Because crude oil is at a place that it certainly could see a pullback from.

And since then, I worked in the field, literally underground, spent several years at Schlumberger in oil and gas, where I worked as a field engineer, project manager and operations engineer, walking the field in my baggy overalls as the only female in 300 men across rigs in the middle of the ocean and in the deserts.

And I think that really gave me a very deep appreciation of how infrastructure actually works on the ground level.

Will Trump Pump the Stock Market?
P

A lot of investors believe that a Trump victory would be good for the oil industry.
P
23:33Patrick BoyleHOST
If we look at the return of oil majors like ExxonMobil, we can see that it is down slightly since the debate, as is the drilling equipment company Schlumberger who would be expected to benefit from increased fracking.
P

Drilling contractors like H&P and Neighbors are up a little, but nothing significant.
P

Chinese stocks like Alibaba and Baidu are up since the debates, but I am not sure that they would be expected to do any better under Biden than Trump.
