Skype Communications S.a r.l.

[laughs]

Skype it.

How good.

Yeah.

Like, they kinda stole their whole thing.

Their Skype.

Yeah.

Globetrotters had this first.

Regardless of your gut reaction, they've become an increasingly large part of the delivery landscape in several countries.

The concept of delivery robots first began in Estonia in 2014, when Skype co-founders Ati Heinle and Janus Friis started Starship Technologies.

What was initially a small project saw a major boom during the pandemic.

The company now operates in over 80 cities across North America, Europe, and Asia.

Yeah, I think so.

Uh, Google Translator or, and, uh, Microsoft Skype Translator, they ar-around the, at around 2015, they all used this kind of cascaded approach, and it worked, uh, to some degree.

So you could speak English into your phone and hear Chinese coming out the other end.

Does people still working on this kind of cascade system today, or we move beyond it?
