I was alone during that time most of the time by myself, so it doesn't bother me at all.

I was in sales a lot at Simpsons and dealing with different types of personalities, and even when I ran the store, having all the different people come with different vision problems and different mental health problems as well that you have to cope with sometimes and learning how to work around those and help those individuals.

So how do you make the most of retirement?

You've probably heard the stories people say about that they're busier now that they're retired than they ever were when they worked.

So when Simpsons and Eaton's and The Bay and all that took over St. Catherine's Street West, Dupuis Frères took over St. Catherine Street East.

And it was known as Le Grand Magasin des Canadiens Français.

And it was basically a lot of French Canadians back then would go to Simpsons or Eaton's and have a hard time being served in English.

My goodness.

So they would go to Dupuis, which was on the corner of St. Tubert and St. Catherine, which is why La Place Dupuis is there today.
