Sesame Place Philadelphia

It was just a simple logo change.

And we can find examples of that all over the place in the past few years, from Budweiser, because they used a, a, a trans person in, in some advertising, to Target, because they supposedly were making bathing suits for kids that were gender whatever, even though it turned out they weren't for kids, to SeaWorld, and Sesame Place, and furry characters not hugging Black kids.

To this day, I still don't know if the furry, furry character accused of not hurrying- her hugging Black kids was Black or white.

[laughs] I don't know if we ever got to the bottom of that.

I still don't know what the race of the person in that costume was.

We just went off to the races, and that definitely started on social media.

That was a mother who posted to her Facebook, "Hey, the furry characters at Sesame Place ain't hugging ba- Black kids." And then other people said, "Yeah, that ain't hug my Black kid either." And it got on the news.

It got on national news, and the Congressional Black Caucus got involved.

My oldest, yeah, and was preserving.

And I remember one time going to Sesame Place, right? It was like an amusement park based on the Sesame Street show.

And there was a thing called Big Bird's Nest.

And it was this big padded circle of probably, I don't know, say 60 feet in diameter.

You got me at the best possible time.

I'm coming off of Sesame Place.

I'm never in a better spot mentally than after I've visited Sesame Street with my kids.

And so I am, I am ready to rock and roll.

He sent me pictures from Sesame Place and was making a strong recommendation for me to bring Maya there next summer.

Never been, huh? No.

... how is the food at Dollywood? Because I will tell you this, I went to Sesame Place outside of Philadelphia, and the food was so bad, the experience was so traumatizing-

You're the VP of Marketing and Sales for SeaWorld San Diego.

And I think Sesame Place also falls under your tutelage.

So one, do you see yourself as a San Diegan? Like, are you a New Yorker that lives here? How do you describe it?

Well, it's kind of crazy because I was New York, grew up in New York in like actual New York in Queens, though, you know, some may debate of Queens, Queens versus a city, but was there till about 13 and then moved out to Long Island, went to college in Colgate.

I think it was maybe Wednesday morning was the last time we went, uh, maybe.

Yeah, because we had Sesame Place on Thursday, then I think we taped Thursday for Friday.
