Seattle Mariners

Definitely a bitter call.

I see you've got the Mariners hat in the background.

Are you a Mariner fan?

I am a Mariners fan.

The Blue Jays are on every day.

I can watch every game.

I don't have cable myself, but my good friend downstairs, the floor below me, he has a big giant TV.

And like me, he's been on disability forever, so he's got the cable.

The Brewers won.

The Mariners won.

Jones, a home run for Seattle.

His 15th of the year.

Oakland and Texas tied up at 2-2 after two and a half.

Three innings, Minnesota 5, Chicago nothing.

Four and a half, the Brewers lead the Mariners 2-1.

Second game at Baltimore, the Orioles have two more runs to add to the one they had in the third.

Half of all games only completed in the American League.

The Oakland Athletics competed the Seattle Mariners 3-1.

Jose Rio, who had just been called up when walking in, or was placed on the disabled list, was the winning pitcher.

Rio, 2-5.

And the one-one pitch from the A's is not in the air to center field.

They're backing up on the ball, but it's there waiting to make the catch.

The Yankees will host the Seattle Mariners August 27th through the 30th.

After this four-game series, we choose ten special days.

The big left-hander with 15 strikeouts against the Orioles in Anaheim in late June.

15 Ks, the most by an Angel pitcher since Mike Witt struck out 16 Seattle Mariners in 1984.

1-2.

It's

We'll be here again tomorrow afternoon as these teams

wind up this four-game set.

And then the Seattle Mariners come to town.

The matchup's for tomorrow.

So Bob Welch has the first man down and Bobby Meacham is up.

Meacham coming in here hitting .226 of course pressed into service when Willie Randolph suffered that hamstring problem in the series against the Seattle Mariners.

Meacham has played third short and starting today at second base for the skipper Billy Marks.

Nice foul.

That was game five when he hit that home run.

Then he went on to hit about 400 in the World Series.

Started out with the Seattle Mariners, came to the Red Sox, and that trade was Spike Owen.

Of course, it's now the regular shortstop for Boston.

Man, they were entertaining to watch, but I didn't watch a lot.

I don't watch much baseball anymore, but I'm a huge Blue Jays and Seattle Mariners fan.

Those are my two teams.

And then after that, I don't even watch much baseball.

The Toronto Blue Jays down the Minnesota Twins 6-2 as Don Kirkwood won his first game since April 14th, giving up just three hits in the six innings of mound work.

The Boston Red Sox defeated the Oakland A's 4-2, and the Seattle Mariners scored two runs and the bottom of the 7th inning to nip the New York Yankees 5-4.

National League, as time permitting, the Dodgers rallied for three runs in the ninth inning to overcome the Mets 5-4.

The Dodgers' victory, coupled with the Giants' 5-3 loss to Philadelphia Phillies, increased Los Angeles' lead two games over San Francisco in the National League West.

He'll be gone early.

Well, there are rumors circulating that Mr. George Argyris, who is in the process of selling the Mariners, may opt for a pitcher in Southern California and not take left-handed hitting Griffey.

And that might mean he could end up, young Griffey could end up in Pittsburgh.

We'll see.

Right.

And the Mariners, obviously, they're known for their rotation, but they can't hit.

And I can't trust them.

No, absolutely not.
