Rocky Patel Premium Cigars

Here's a big one just for you, Jimbo.

Rocky Patel, American 250th.

Seems like everyone had a 250th.

Yep.

But this one specific stick, and I think it was partially my fault, but I also think that the wrapper was very dry, even though it had been in my humidor for a couple of weeks at least.

And that's the Rocky Patel 1999 Vintage Connecticut.

Historically, I've really enjoyed that.

I've had several of them.

And that was unfortunate.

That did not start my day right.

I remember as we were talking in episode one, like initially when I didn't know anything, Rocky Patel was one of the brands.

I didn't mention them, but I thought, That I would, you know, maybe lean into.

And we'll tell you if a cigar is good or bad or indifferent.

So like Rocky Patel.

Actually, that reminds me, the reason we're not directly related to Gurkha, I bumped into yesterday or the day before yesterday.

listen, there are no Rocky Patels over in the UK because Rocky bust his ass over here to make sure that certain laws didn't get passed.

So we made fun of the cigars.

Did my, uh, my first, when I started, just started getting into smoking, my guy, my shop guy would, uh, he'd always either point out Rocky Patel or, like, he would just always push Kristoff on me.

So, like, I started off on Kristoffs.

But, uh, yeah, man, I, I, I just, I don't really like them.

I mean, they, I think last year, if the numbers are correct, they sold 8 million cigars.

But you look at the next group up, right? You look like, I think the numbers I can find on Rocky Patel, there's like 30 million cigars, right? So in the scheme of the world that they're competing in, Padron's still considered to me a boutique cigar almost.

I never would have thought.

Yeah.

But yeah, but the problem is, see, we talked about this last week.

In America, and our favorite person, Rocky Patel, Rahati Patel, he went and kicked ass.

They spent like $100 million to make sure Congress, our Congress doesn't pass this.
