After the war, Lee and Gary Jost moved to Ames, where he earned a degree in industrial engineering at Iowa State University.

His career took the family to Indiana, then to Cedar Rapids in Marion, where he was employed by Rockwell Collins.

Lee made a career mark of her own in nursing.

As an RN, she worked at hospitals and private duty nursing before becoming a school nurse at Linmar Schools in Marion.

Together, they built a life centered on family and love until his passing in 2012.

Linda devoted much of her career to working at Rockwell Collins for 28 years as a team leader.

She gave freely of her time spending five years working with people with disabilities at the ARC.

Much of Rod's childhood was spent in Texas until the family moved back north and put down roots in Kendallville, Indiana.

A talented student with a sharp analytical mind, Rod attended Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, where he majored in electrical engineering.

After college, Rod moved to Cedar Rapids to work at Rockwell Collins.

Rod spent his entire career at Collins.

A couple of years ago, probably 10 years ago, there was a pretty significant little debate about.

commercial items, things like avionics products that were supplied by companies like Rockwell Collins and today Honeywell, United Technologies.

These are aircraft engine parts or avionics that the department was buying, but they were being sold on commercial terms.

And so the margins could be pretty high on that.

Barbara met Richard Clark in 1964 and they married in 1965.

They settled in Cedar Rapids in 1966 and Barbara began her career by following her curiosity and love of travel, working for United Airlines and aaa travel services when she and richard started their family in 1969 she began to devote herself to her family she returned to the workforce beginning a 20-year career with rockwell collins where she worked until her retirement in 2004 Sherry Strong, 83, of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, passed away August 18 after a battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Sherry was born September 6, 1942, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Helen and Emery Westerlund.

She spent most of her youth in western New York and graduated from Kenmore High School.

Together, they had three sons before divorcing.

And Brenda spent much of her career as an administrative assistant at Rockwell Collins.

After retiring in 2014, she returned as a contractor.

A celebration of life for Brenda will be held at Red Oak Park near Tipton at a later date.

Nile Workman, age 87, passed away peacefully at his home in Mount Vernon on August 9th.

Nile worked for Collins Radio in Rockwell for over 35 years prior to retiring, upon which time he and Bev spent many of their retirement years wintering in Texas, spending many hours on the golf course and enjoying good times with cherished friends.

Nile enjoyed the simple pleasures throughout his life.

He loved fishing, golfing, evening drives for ice cream, especially his time spent with family and friends.

It seems like RTX is getting, hmm, really has, is running away as the leader in the space, um, which is Ra- the old Raytheon, right? And they had United Technologies, and then they s- made their name just RTX.

But they, and Rockwell Collins is also part of them, was part of them, I think.

So RTX, which is Raytheon, they seem to be running away with the ball.

They, they have been.
