We do have this week in motorsports history.

On this date, 1955, Road America in Wisconsin opened for competition, beginning a two-day SCCA National Race Week.

And the first race ever held on the new permanent circuit was a G production event won by Roy Heath in an MGTC.

Okay.

is the 13th Week Prototype Challenge.

So it's fixed sets, GTP, Radical SR10, Spec Racer Ford, all three classes at Mid-Ohio and Road America.

And my thought was, um, was that, um, Kevin Estre would get replaced after being put on probation.

And that hasn't happened because he's still in the number six car after the machinations of the last, uh, IMSA round with-- IMSA WeatherTech round with the, uh, with the top cars in it, which was at Road America, of course, for the six hours.

Um, and so what they've done, Lauren Heinrich, we were e-expecting to complete the season-- Well, he was always meant to be in that car for Petit Le Mans.

Yes.

Then he went to JDC-Miller, um, and he won at WeatherTech.

Um, so Heinrich now, despite having swapped cars, is the highest ranked Porsche driving-- driver in the standings.

And with all the shenanigans that went on at Road America, um, he's now only 118 points behind Jack Aitken.

Uh, so Kevin Estre and Lauren Heinrich.

Previously, the road course tire has been exponentially hard to get right because it changes every weekend.

You know, there's one for Barber, one for IndyGP, one for Road America.

Maybe there's two tracks that are similar and then it changes again.

And so it's like you can't ever build the model accurately in the sim when it's changing every single time.

So do you like that? Or would you almost rather we go to...

I hate to call it like an F1 model, but in the sense where like because I understand that the tire needs to be maybe different at Road America than it does at Portland than it does at Barber.

Right.

I know Chip Ganassi said in an interview a while ago, Alex Pillow wants somebody that can challenge him, and I definitely feel like Christian Lundgaard is that guy that can challenge him.

I do think so, because Lungard, he's got three career wins, but he picked up two this year because he had the win at Toronto in 23, I believe, was his first win, and then he won the Indy Road Course this year and also Road America.

So I think if there is anybody that could come into Ganassi and challenge Palou or at least kind of put up a fight towards him, then I think Lungard can do it.

Because Dixon definitely had a down year, and then it was announced that he was leaving Ganassi after 25 years.

And from three relatively different tracks, too.

I mean, VIR and Road America have some similarities, but the Canadian motorsports feel like it's a little bit different.

So...

Yeah.

Mm-hmm.

Yeah, you know, a great day overall for Windward.

This is, as we mentioned, three in a row following the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park and Road America wins.

Great qualifying, started in P3, and just hung on with the number 45 and number 27 cars basically the whole race.

And he had a handful of those races after Indianapolis.

And I'm thinking about Road America, where he had contact with Graham Rahal.

And then he had some other races.

He was at the Milwaukee race, and he gets the speeding penalty.
