Ridley College

Okay.

I went to private school at Ridley College.

So it's my first experience of going outside the box of Ancaster, you know, where you have, you know, kids growing up in the same area, staying in the same area, going to a, a school where kids come from everywhere-

Mm-hmm

The bus does.

All right, so busted at 10 o'clock for a hotshot tournament over Thanksgiving at Ridley College in St. Captain's, Ontario.

Nichols Academy is there, big programs.

And our best player, I'll call him Rick, he's already been drafted by the Montreal Canadiens, and back then this didn't happen.

Tell me, tell me the actual genesis, how the three of you got started.

So Sidney Robinson and I were roommates at Ridley College.

Hmm.

We were very good friends and when graduating here, we wanted to go traveling in Europe.

That can't be me you two are talking about, but I really sincerely appreciate it.

And I'll just tell the viewer right off the get-go, much of my research, especially when doing an Olympics, but really in all the theater of sport, has to do with Jason, books he's written, topics about coaching, about his time at Ridley College in southern Ontario where I live, Robin's experiences at the Olympics, certainly the Commonwealth Games in 1994 at Victoria, B.C. was a really defining experience for me and we can get into that a little bit later on but you're both uh woven into this crazy lucky break that i caught to share the story of sport entry

and and we talked before that we wanted to as much as this is about your doing and all of the incredible things you've done through your career we wanted to tell each tell a story that perhaps shine shines a light more on your being who who ron mclean is so did you want to go first

Sure.
