But also the reason why the color is also a shiny holographic silver color is because in between the black lines...

he has that color there as a homage to the heavy metal genre since shiny silver is the color of most metals um now on to the album itself it was released on may 28 1996 by relapse records a popular independent record label noted for releasing uh music by extreme metal and punk artists Hence why the album probably became way more popular than a normal noise album would be, since, you know, it had better distribution.

And that brings us into the album itself.

And then also because of that also relapse from the US relapse records.

uh found out this and wanted to sign us for the for america and um thomas is a cool guy so he said yeah why not and we did and that was also very helpful for us to for for the u.s market so even though we never played there but um unfortunately but um yeah it was a cool time cool times so yeah it was released it had like an american version with some extra bonus tracks and stuff and then it's the normal european or the other rest of the world version for that album was also cool cool times we had a new rehearsal place a little bit outside the city and yeah very effective in a way but nice it's a Some of the songs I guess we could be most proud of on that album, like Beyond the End and Got Tech.

Which one of them was released by Relapse Records that Jeff Wagner had something to do with.

How has the response been to Afflicted? The response has been good in both Europe and the States, I think, question mark.

The response seems to be great about the album as well.

Very rewarding and something that I still hear about from other people to this day, which is so crazy.

But I'm glad I had some impact there.

I've worked for Relapse Records, The End Records, Century Media Records, and also the Inside Out label.

all you know in varying capacities um the inside out label was probably the most rewarding label experience although the relapse experience was my foot in the door so to speak um i've done a fanzine uh i've written four books the latest of which is voivod uh always moving the strange multiverse of voivod and uh if anybody's interested in that they can go to radicalresearch.org voivod and there's my pitch um And you do

It's called Who Loves the Sun.

coffin um spacious coffin because yeah

I did wonder how it would fare on repeat listens because it's not necessarily an album that unveils more on each spin but that being said I did five listens to this and I'm still having fun with it each time I hear it so I don't know I'm going four out of five yeah I enjoyed it I'll come back to this where are you sitting?

I'm a three yeah like like I said those first four songs I would spin them on loop and I really love what they're doing there yeah and yeah okay that's as far as i'm gonna go
