Radford University

So my husband went to Virginia Tech.

I went to Radford University and we met right after we had both graduated.

But I always jokingly say I had full intentions of moving back home to Canada one day and then I met him.

So that

I've done a little look into this.

This started in 1992, uh, at Radford University-

She's the Democratic endorsed candidate running for school board.

And we have a new person called Fallon H. I think K-R-E-Y-E. She's running, as I understand it, she's an employee of Radford University and is also endorsed by the Democrats, I am being told.

So I'll just tell you right off the bat, the first two I will be voting for, I will be endorsing, and I will be strongly recommending.

The first is Gloria W. Boyd.

And it's important that we maintain that majority on Radford City Council.

If we do not, if we do not maintain that majority over the next four years, and we have this election, we have another election in two years.

If you allow Radford University to put out their candidates, in my opinion, their candidates, whether it's for school board or whether it's for Radford City Council, if you allow those candidates to get in there and you allow these citizens, excuse me, these non-citizens, these Radford University students to come out, you can't stop them from voting, but if you allow their impact to be large enough to take away your council, you will pay for it and your children will pay for it forever.

We're in danger of losing this city to Radford University.

So in terms of what exactly they used to do to patients, the experiments, and death tolls, things like that, we don't really know for 100% certainty.

But in the 1990s, the Carilion Health, uh, system bought St. Albans Sanatorium, and they were originally going to turn it into kind of a learning facility for Radford College.

But they ended up building another structure next to St. Albans, and they made that the Radford College pretty much learning center.

And the main St. Albans building, it was abandoned and left to rot.

It has its own boogey monster, and I guess for Radford, it was a building, was its boogeyman.

And so a lot of people, they steered clear of it.

Now, the facility right next to St. Albans, um, which was a Radford College learning facility, it was still in use.

Before the crash, Chris had been partying too much, according to a 2004 feature in the Martinsville Bulletin in Virginia.

So much so that his GPA at Radford University dropped dramatically, and he got kicked out of the school after his third semester.

Because of that, his parents cut him off financially, so he joined the Army National Guard for help.

It's there where he says he sorted out his priorities and started attending community college.

"I believe life is like Russian roulette," Skinner said.

"You always have one bullet in the chamber, but there's nothing we can do about it because we can't control other people."

It kind of gives you the chills, right? After this life-changing crash, Chris returned to Radford University and remained on the Dean's List.

While he earned his bachelor's degree, he began his career as a motivational speaker, traveling and sharing his story about the dangers of drinking and driving with students at colleges, high schools, and elementary schools, as well as at churches.

We've allowed you plenty of time, plenty of time to manufacture mail-in ballots and all kinds of things that you can do.

And for the Radford City Democratic Party, we've given you plenty of time to get Radford University students to go out and try to steal the election away from the people that actually live and work here.

Plenty of time, guys.

By the way, I noticed that the Democrats are putting their headquarters down there around the university.

But right now, we seem to have this huge push, and our mayor's behind it.

He's a lot behind it.

Radford University is behind it to use all these grants to do things about, you know, river crossings on old trestles and all these decorative things around the university and new sidewalks and new painted parking lots and just kind of just weird stuff that broke people don't do, okay? It's just things that broke people do not do.

In fact, you know, we had a big discussion come up on Facebook about the river and how we need to have more access for citizens And the mayor got on there and he talked about all the things that he was working on and that, you know, because of Helene, we've lost this, we've lost that.

Yeah.

My only experience with not being on a central team was when I was the director of web strategy and digital media or something like that at Radford University.

And it weirdly it was central in the sense that we served the whole campus, my team.

We did all social, all web, all digital.

We're going to be talking about them and Radford University, and the new little meeting that's going on this coming September down on campus.

I think we all need to know about it, we all need to talk about it.

It was shared on multiple Facebook pages by some of you, but it was also shared by the Radford City government as a joint meeting that's going on, and we're gonna get into that.
