And what a lot of people don't know is even though we- A Different World followed The Cosby Show, they shot in New York and Queens, we shot over at CBS Radford in Los Angeles.

So Debbie Allen, Susan Fales, Yvette Bowser, Gina and, and Reggie Blythewood all had a lot, and all the other writing staff, had a lot of autonomy to create the environment that we all put together.

So w- we never saw them, but we were able to build this HBCU universe, particularly because Debbie's an, a, a Howard alum.

It was started by David Nivid and Robert Coote, Dick Powell.

Anyway, they started this Four Star company, and it was in Radford Studios.

So when he came out, I don't know where the money came from, but he rented Harold Lloyd's Beach House.

wouldn't call that a fun fact it's an interesting fact uh now of course we're all familiar with the the lagoon and the the island itself but the show was actually filmed at cbs studio center in studio city california And the lagoon was built on a back lot, yeah, filled with water from the Los Angeles River.
