The only defense...

The only offense that I think Notre Dame had a very good performance against was Purdue.

And, you know, to go from Purdue, their style of play from that to what we've seen in the last few weeks is just kind of stunning to me.

Notre Dame was a much more aggressive team against Purdue.

They were much more in your face on defense.

They played some zone, but not the zone we've seen.

They did a lot more games up front against Purdue, and obviously that was their best performance of the season defensively, especially given that offense.

And it has it has not looked like that at all in the last three or four games.

Now, Minnesota's cornerbacks, particularly John Nestor, I think have played a lot better than maybe we've given them enough airtime or credit for, because you're only able to do that if your corners are playing well.

But it was obvious that Minnesota, and I think it was the right game plan, was I think Minnesota's looked in the mirror and said, the loss to Mississippi state and Purdue, we got absolutely eviscerated.

We're just not going to let that happen.

Now, if another team wants to, to try and take us through the air and we, and we'll, we'll deal with that problem when it happens, but Minnesota gave no respect to Indiana's passing game, particularly at the quarterback position, which was interesting because of how much talent they have at wide receiver.

So it kind of depends on your personality and where you sit and how well you do with change.

But if you're someone who, who, you know, you found it boring that you're going to tune in, you kind of know who's going to win the game and you just tune in for a while to see if something else is going to happen, you know, then, then this isn't for you because now that we talk about rollercoaster ride and all these other cliches, but this is just coming through it's three weeks ago we brought this up but it's now every single week you do not know for certainty on any of these games what's going to happen

all right uh i i do appreciate producer dan dropping into the chat here that those 21 points uh were the most that michigan has given up all season so who had that on their bingo card on halloween because i sure did not Okay, also, Purdue loses and is the first win in Big Ten play for Penn State, who is now 4-4, 1-4 in the Big Ten, a 31-17 victory for Penn State.

And I think the thing I learned most about this was, boy, that stadium was not full on Halloween.

We now know who the guy needs to be going forward.

Plus, Penn State, yes, they beat Purdue.

It's just Purdue.

But this team can definitely win out to finish up the season.

We'll get to that in just a moment.

And this is part of it, right? There's another big reason why Penn State can go on a four-game win streak here after this Purdue game.

But Cam Wallace.

135 yards, 22 carries.

I think the ceiling's kind of low, I would say.

Coming out of Purdue in the bye week, I was like, I think 6-6 probably feels like what's going to come.

They're going to beat Penn State.

They're going to beat michigan state and that would honestly depressingly kind of be a solid outcome given the season then you know whether you like that or not that's not going to get jet fired i don't think five and seven maybe even four and eight was even going to get jet fired i think but yeah this was kind of to me the you know what do you call it the the rubber game of like the in-between, it was like, I could see them.

I think they should be Michigan state.

I thought there was almost no chance they could beat Indiana or Oregon, but this was the game that was like, you know, if they win this one, this is kind of makes you optimistic for the rest, or if they would have lost, that would have been like, yeah, we're going to have to scratch and claw at East Lansing to get to bowl eligibility.

Though I did also see Penn state beat Purdue by 14 in, in Happy Valley so they're fine in some life and Michigan State I think has been they've been a tough out all season even if they've lost most games so it's still possible that they could go 5-7 I don't think I don't have ultra confidence I just think that We kind of finally had one of those games here too that we've lost a lot or that you watch other teams pull off of the whole thing of ugly game, put the quarterback back in who was doing terrible and he wins you the game.

we finally got that.

Minnesota's a good football team.

It's not like you did this against Rutgers or Purdue, something of that nature.

But it is one of those things where it's kind of a bit of a wake-up call to what this could look like if Hoover misses significant time.

Hopefully it gets healthy.
