Profoto

It's I like that brand.

I know Phyllis likes, was it Profoto? I have Profoto.

Yeah, and they're amazing as well.

I would love one of those too.

I darn near dislocated my arm whipping out my checkbook as fast as I could, writing her a check on the spot for first and last month's rent.

Pleased with my good fortune, I went immediately to the current studio space I was renting and began packing the lights, backdrops, flash umbrellas, and all the other Profoto equipment I'd acquired during the last several years.

My current landlord was a nervous church member and wasn't entirely keen on my having photo shoots on her property, although she told me differently to lure me in.

This was the same woman whom became upset because I had used a bright red backdrop in my studio for a series of shoots because, in her words, red is the devil's color.

It is a, there's a steep learning curve, but you...

Maddie uses Profoto, right? Yes.

Yeah.

Is that who got you hooked on it? Yes.

Well, you know, when I'm asking everybody, what do you use? And then they're listing all these things.

And I heard Profoto, easiest to use.

Also one of the most expensive, but I'm like easiest to use.

All right.

Oh my God, yeah.

So then we had six Profoto D2s, I think.

So they're a thousand watt heads, you know, pretty much at full power.

Yeah.

The show is a great place to try kit and get face-to-face expert advice.
