I was like, I don't know who is watching bowling.

The Professional Bowling Association? Is that PBA?

I know there's no pr- yeah, I know there's no pregame culture as much on the P- on the Pacific ti- time zone, but if you had the ESPN one on-

Right

So we have something very exciting launching in the fall, so stay tuned, and it has to do with an ecosystem.

Um, but we already really have a big ecosystem, right? And we actually own the Professional Bowlers Association as well, the PBA, so, um, we have a sport league.

We have leagues, to your point, we have the bowling, we have the arcade, we have events.

Um, and it really creates that, that ecosystem, and it'll, it'll be tied even closely together with our fall exciting launch.

Um, but I think it's like you can sell them as pieces, and you can offer them as a whole as well, right? Like, sometimes it's about the exciting newness of the arcade, and sometimes it's about more leaning into the bowling.

Um, we, uh, participated in a documentary called, uh, Born to Bowl.

It was produced by Ben Stiller, and it talked about the Professional Bowlers Association, and it really brought bowling into, um, that entertainment space even more, and that pop culture space even more.

So it's five episodes, um, that launch this spring.

Because if you're in the PBA, how are you getting your balls around?

It's the same thing.

And in our you-can't-hear-a-pin-drop department, we may well be seeing the end of the great American sport bowling, not because it's less popular with the working class, but because private equity has encrapified it.

Andy Zeisler in Salon writes that Lucky Strike Entertainment, a private equity-backed behemoth, has in the past decade bought more than 350 of the nation's bowling alleys and transformed them into a garish nightmare that has deprioritized league bowling, escalated the cost of bowling with algorithm-driven dynamic pricing, and to make matters worse, they've actually purchased the Professional Bowlers Association.

And in a class action lawsuit filed in May by disgruntled bowlers, the company stands accused of violating antitrust laws, as well as gobbling up its competition through unlawful acquisitions, cutting supplies, raising prices, pushing alcohol, promoting gambling, and alienating virtually every consumer except those who have no interest in bowling.

Let's hope the company strikes out, is ordered to split and left with nothing to spare.
