Her body is discovered the following day, October 11th, in Prince George.

Now, before it was known that the serial killer claimed her life, thousands of people had been questioned and interrogated, and hundreds of suspects, but none were the killer.

Now, I found a little article written by the Prince George Citizen, February 6th, 1988, regarding Jean Mary Kovacs, and it's titled, And it reads this, Edward Dennis Isaac, 30, of Fort St. James, has been charged with a first-degree murder in the 1981 death of Jean Mary Kovacs of Prince George.

He is expected to appear in court next week.

The next step after the initial court appearance in the judicial process is for a preliminary hearing to be set.

At the hearing, the Crown's case will be looked at to see if the evidence justifies a trial.

In November, Prince George RCMP assigned a four-man investigative team, to do a full review and further investigation of the case.

i don't know your last name heisey amy heisey from the community arts council i asked her if she wouldn't mind joining me for a talk about what we're going to talk about we're going to talk about the night markets coming up at the end of september actually the first first and second or second second third of october at the prince george playhouse i was hoping to get involved but i will be hosting along with christina watts the the business excellence awards that night so i wasn't able to get involved in that but uh just share a little bit about what the night market's gonna look like it's usually like it was at 2880 now you've moved it to the playhouse which is a fantastic venue

Yeah, so what our plan is, this is the first year that we're doing this, but we're trying to establish like an arts weekend.

Oh, nice.

And by solution, I mean we can all point out and say, okay, downtown is a problem, everything is a problem, is a problem, but here's the solution and here's how we need to speak.

I think what Prince George has to brace itself for, and when looking for a candidate to vote for, there are things that we need to take into consideration, number one.

whatever plan comes into fruition is going to take a while right we are in the position we're in because we start and stop plans and we don't understand how things are made i say that because when it comes to dealing with the street problem we are never going to solve the problem if we continue doing the things that we're doing Number one.

And by the things that we're doing, we're opening up programs and we don't have a cohesive programming as we don't have an elementary, we don't have a primary, we don't have a middle, and we don't have a high school in the sense of gradually getting people to the steps that they need to get to to be able to be a part of society in a way that feels good to them.

We got to learn the lessons and we got to take the data from it.

What was the information? What did these people do? But it seems like everybody...

wants to say all these things and Prince George, they have this grandiosity.

Oh, we're gonna build this community center and we're gonna do this and that.
