You know what I mean? So I think there was a little bit of that element that he took in and had in the back of his brain of, you know, using that to his advantage as an element of design.

He built one of golf's early island holes up at Ponte Vedra Inn, which is just steps away from the Atlantic.

It's the ninth hole there.

And that was, I think, later than 1919.

So maybe in 1919, I don't know what the availability of heavy equipment was, but he had it in the late 20s when he built the Ponte Vedra Inn course, which is also a really windy site.

And then he put an island green out there just down the road from the TPC, too.

And it's interesting because we've went back and looked at some of the holes that he's kind of known for.
