So Pivotal Ventures is a company that I formed that does investments, but it's also now a philanthropic arm-

Mm-hmm

... and it's an advocacy arm-

And as you said, for a woman ch- has, in my opinion, a woman has to be well to do well.

Mm-hmm.

And so over the course of my career, both when I was at the Gates Foundation and now with Pivotal Ventures, we've been investing in these stages of women's life: reproductive, maternal healthcare, and there's still so much more-

George, the show had already raised enough to make $10 million donation to 10 nonprofit partners, including Planned Parenthood, the National Women's Law Center, and Black Mamas Matter Alliance.

And George, philanthropist Melinda French Gates, pledged an additional $10 million through her Pivotal Ventures arm.

So George, we don't like to talk necessarily about celebrity donations, but I think this is like, I've never seen, it's been a while since I've seen a celebrity kind of so prominently present promote a nonprofit fundraising in this way, kind of explicitly political, right? Planned Parenthood, of course.

So just kind of cool to see, something to keep an eye on.

More than 20 countries pled 4.6 billion to help increase access to birth control for women in developing nations.

She started Pivotal Ventures, which focuses on putting more women in power.

And she also gives millions to trusted individuals that she knows to redistribute what they see fit, like Jacinta Ardern is one of them that she's trusted

with.
