So they realized that they have caught an assistant DA.

But I'm going to insert a clip here that's going to continue the story about this assistant DA and what happened to him and why people think that that's what canceled to catch a predator.

So, unfortunately, I lost all of Nathan's really great reactions, but here's a little explanation.

56-year-old district attorney Louis Conrad was one of the individuals caught by perverted justice.

Conrad posed as a 19-year-old university student engaging in online chat with a boy, Luke, who he thought to be 13 years of age.

There has never been anything quite like the show that you do and did.

We could combine our ability to wire a house and their ability at Perverted Justice to be decoys posing as children online.

I didn't know if anybody was gonna show up, so we rented a home, and in two and a half days...

Well, you know, we didn't know what we were getting into, quite honestly.

Mm-hmm.

I became aware of an online watchdog group called Perverted Justice, and I started to think if we could combine our ability to wire a house with cameras and microphones, and their ability to be decoys posing as children online, it could be compelling.

Now, they were already doing this, and when somebody would agree to meet a child and exploit them, they would post their identity on their website.

And it got me thinking about what goes on in our own country.

And right about then, I had come across an online watchdog group called Perverted Justice who did these sort of stings where if a guy decided to try to meet a child after an online conversation, they would merely post his identity on their website.

And sometimes law enforcement would try to prosecute those cases.

I got the idea and pitched the story to Dateline.

that if we could use perverted justice as the decoys and wire a house with hidden cameras and microphones, it could be pretty compelling if guys showed up.

And I confronted them.

So we tried it.
