Penland School of Craft

I guess that's life.

But I did, I was up in Maine and did a residency at Watershed, which is a ceramics center and then I did a residency at Penland School of Craft in North Carolina and then I was the artist in residence at Furman University which is in South Carolina and then after that I moved to Philly and I stopped doing residencies.

Those three residencies were longer term.

I had a studio and I worked It was the first time I really worked as an artist.

in parks such as Sacramento's Curtis Park donates her amazing O-type blood on the weekends and has continued her arts journey with showings and commissions in Nashville attended the Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina is now doing encaustic work with wax which we have a lovely David Bowie piece right here And is working in her studio here in Sacramento.

She's an Aquarius, a huge David Bowie fan, a karaoke queen, my wife, and was once offered a tequila shot in Ani DeFranco's kitchen.

But I like to get out in the summertime.

And so I was at Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina for a little bit, you know, for two weeks in June and then up to Mark Adams.

This week.

It's been fun.

Aramont, like, all of their old photography classes, all of their gear had been stored away in the attic.

I don't know if you've ever heard of Penland School of Craft.

But Penland is just a couple hours away across the Blue Ridge Mountains, and they have an incredible state-of-the-art brand-new darkroom.

And so years ago, Aramont kind of bowed down to Penland and let them have photography.
