Pencils of Promise
At Pencils of Promise (PoP), we believe that every child deserves access to quality education—no matter where they are born. Since 2009, we have partnered with communities in Ghana, Guatemala, and Laos to create lasting change through: 📚 Literacy programs that improve learning outcomes. 👩🏫 Teacher training that equips educators with skills and resources. 🏫 School construction that provides safe, supportive learning environments. Together, these efforts have impacted the lives of over 250,000 students and supported the work of thousands of teachers. What makes PoP different is our community-centered approach. We don’t just build schools—we work hand in hand with local leaders, governments, and families to ensure that every project is sustainable, measurable, and transformative. PoP was founded with just $25 and a bold vision: to create a "for-purpose" movement that blends nonprofit heart with business-minded accountability. Today, our global network of supporters, donors, and partners continues to drive that vision forward. ✨ Our impact so far: 600+ schools built and supported Thousands of teachers trained in innovative methodologies Hundreds of thousands of children empowered with the tools to learn, grow, and thrive Our mission is simple but powerful: to end the global education crisis, one child and one community at a time.www.pencilsofpromise.org
