Paramount Vantage

It's sort of complicated and political, and the long and short of it is you're the head of marketing.

There's this Paramount Vantage label being closed that had its own marketing person.

... a marketing exec who was the Van- Paramount Vantage person, they were planning this meeting.

The plan was to call Megan, Josh, and me into a meeting in which both Josh, your friend Josh, and Megan would feign ignorance about what was about to happen.

It's that, right? So every few years, it seems like every maybe 15 years, somebody tries this.

Like there was Paramount Vantage back in the 2000s.

Warner Brothers had something to this effect.

This is just that, where it's like a focus, a searchlight, something, a shingle within the studio for focusing on either indie production or indie acquisition.

Because Disney owns Focus Features.

Paramount Vantage is their independent studio.

Paramount Vantage used to be Miramax.

And the movies that Paramount Vantage has released include Babel.

That was an independent movie?

Into the Wild? Really? Oh, that makes sense.
