This is the same vintage of soundbite that people are branding billionaire brain.

Some others in this vintage that I like are Palantir co-founder and CEO Alex Karp never learned how to drive, and he explained that to [laughs] The New York Times in an interview saying, "First I was too poor, and then I was too rich." That's similar levels.

And then we were talking to another te- tech CEO recently, and he said that he doesn't own a credit card and hasn't owned a credit card in over a decade.

So again, these are problems that no normal person could ever comprehend, outside of maybe a toddler who is learning their address for the first time.

So give me a bit of slack of- in terms of explaining actually what is going on, and then I think we have a good context to understand what this whole thing means, right? So first, let's start off with the model layer itself.

Um, it's pretty obvious that the, the token costs are coming down, and that was pushed mainly by all the open weight models from China in the beginning, but now more and more also in the US with, uh, NVIDIA, Palantir, for instance, Ne- Nemotron model.

But, but also others are, um, yeah, providing those because in the end, the frontier AI token costs for everyday tasks, especially in companies, were just way too expensive and, and, and, and there was basically the, yeah, better product market fit in the end for those open weight, um, models, right? But yeah, this, this is in the end, um, where we are today.

Now, where is this leading to? What does this mean for the broader kind of model layer? Basically means that more and more of the tokens are shifting from frontier, and frontier, when I say frontier, I always mean OpenAI and Anthropic together.

Everybody's interested in this company, uh, now because of you.

I'm just telling you right now.

Perhaps funds are short for new berets, I should say, for serving officers.

Right, moving swiftly on, Tom Watson has been hired by Palantir for a PR campaign to fight what's described as the left-wing campaign.

against their involvement in the NHS and elsewhere.

It's not left wing.

It's just fundamental decency.

Next up, a little insight into Israeli thinking, this time from an academic, Orit Perlov.

The Ukrainians have shown a greater capability of striking Russia with the help of intel data supplied by Western governments.

And with the help of tech companies, primarily Palantir, which provides the battlefield operation system for the Ukrainian army and particularly for its unmanned aircraft forces.

They have managed to deliver some painful strikes on Russia to incapacitate a considerable part of its refineries and some of the oil terminals, port terminals in the Black Sea and the Baltic Sea.

So that was painful.

And you can see shares of Akamai are up about 22%, almost 23% on this, sort of the latest entrance into the neocloud business.

Speaking of Anthropic, breaking out the Palantir playbook, Fortune is reporting that the company is asking shareholders to approve a new corporate structure that would give CEO Dario Amadei and his six co-founders a special class of shares to give them supreme voting control over most corporate matters.

The company also reportedly planning to give employees a special class of stock that could serve as tiebreaker votes for certain issues.

Let's turn to Tesla now.

This is just top of my head.

But he, Astra, just to see how these combines and how they create these narratives to sell their vision, he rented out the Commonwealth Club last year in San Francisco.

But what he represents is, I mean, I think fundamentally is just the drive for wealth and power.

the willingness to capitalize on crisis.

So Palantir, which he founded after 9-11 with the man who's now the CEO, Alex Karp, is a surveillance company that partners with the U.S. military and has worked with ICE and is essentially built to serve the war on terror or whatever disasters we're now We also quote Alex Karp, who's the CEO, who recently, he was talking to investors on an earnings call, and he said, Palantir is built for bad times.

Bad times are good for Palantir.

The information reportedly says Anthropic may hand its seven co-founders fifty point one percent voting control ahead of an IPO.

A Palantir style structure, unconfirmed timing, but loops right back to this morning, doesn't it? [exhales] Okay, four stories, one thread.

Let me tie this together for you.

Here's what today actually was.

Do you have an example that comes to mind?

Yeah, a example that comes to mind is we may have an infrastructure as part of the platform, say it's AWS, but we have a SaaS offering that is right on top of that platform, like a Palantir.

And then that platform and that ecosystem is able to support multiple centers and offices based on their needs.

We also may integrate that platform with, say, a Snowflake.

We have an enterprise data repository.

We have a lot of data in there, and instead of recopying the data in a different platform, we can integrate it into the Palantir platform that routes off of AWS and provides the capabilities.

So that's what I mean by taking a platform approach.

It doesn't mean it's a single technology or tool, but it does mean that we are integrating the IQ system to be able to deliver those missions.
