And Dr. Devan Kansagra is a professor of medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics at Oregon Health and Science University, who practices internal medicine at the VA Portland Healthcare System.

So today, Dr. Brochwall and I will delve into the clinician implications of the new guidelines and exactly what we should be doing for our patients.

I'm a general internist and professor of medicine at Oregon Health and Science University, and I practice and teach primary care internal medicine at the VA Portland, and I co-chaired this guideline panel along with Jessica, and I'm happy to be here.

OHSU has been awarded $4 million to study and expand telehealth intervention for children with autism.

KXL's Heather Roberts reports on a program currently focused on rural areas where resources are scarce.

There's a shortage of autism experts to help parents with children during critical learning ages.

OHSU's Dr. Catherine Zuckerman says 18 months to age 5 is a crucial time.

It's a time when they're learning all the fundamental skills that they're going to need for their future education and also their life skills.

They've developed an online program to teach parents how to help children on the spectrum.

The Portland Public School District has plans now in place to deal with the extended closure of I-5.

And to help us put some of CJ Daniels' family experience and advocacy work into the broader idea of what's going on in epilepsy, we're joined now by Dr. David Spencer.

Dr. Spencer is a professor of neurology at Oregon Health and Science University.

where he directs the comprehensive epilepsy program and the epilepsy fellowship and he's also part of the team for brainhealth.com and the editor for the newly renamed brain health book series he works to maintain an active epilepsy practice while he's juggling all these other things focused on medical and surgical treatment for epilepsy and research working in improving the care and understanding about epilepsy He also recently authored the most recent series of the book series, Addressing Epilepsy, Navigating Life with Epilepsy.

It truly is something that requires such immediate assessment and treatment.

OHSU's Dr. Erin Hottie-Hedrick treats patients with that illness and says that it is very rare that you get results like that, a mother killing her own children.

About one to two women experience postpartum psychosis per 1,000 deliveries.

And one of my longer clinical rotations is what we call them was in at Doernbecher and OHSU in Portland, Oregon, which is a very well-known children's hospital.

And this was again, when I was like really interested in, in pediatrics and I, I still am, I still have such a warm space for peds.

It's like such a beautiful like area to practice in, but I went out there and had this really amazing clinical experience.

So that was kind of it.

That was like the point when I was like, I don't think peds probably for me right now.

Um, and that's the dieticians that are working in that space too.

So today we welcome Lori Eberle, who is a licensed social worker in the adult oncology department at OHSU Knight Cancer Institute in Oregon.

Lori is going to share her professional thoughts on helping people in survivorship deal with everything from psychological distress to the impact that chronic graft versus host disease can have on survivors.

We're going to talk about the caregivers too, what they need and how important they are when transplantation is the life-saving

Physical therapy is so important for folks with GVHD who may continue to have some muscle weakness, mobility issues.

And so working with a physical therapist can be really helpful.

Here at OHSU, we have naturopathy, we have acupuncturists and some other integrative medicine.

And again, depending on the region, people may or may not have easy access to these things, but I think they could call some of the resources we mentioned earlier and have some access at least remotely or by watching some videos.
