Right.

But within Mariology specifically, do you think that this is a push to exert some kind of political will to control where Catholicism is moving? Because there's been currents within Catholicism Since Francis was made pope and then since Leo became pope, for example, like Opus Dei, the more traditional hardliners and the more progressive element within the church that has been trying to modernize Catholicism.

Do you think that this renewed interest in Mariology is some kind of attempt to exert political will over Catholicism and those apparitions in particular?

Well, the section of my book that deals in particular with the political ramifications of the Marian apparition phenomenon is called Dark Visions.

Is there a possibility? In fact, I spoke on yesterday's program with a top intelligence officer, the former national intelligence officer who said that he had heard from people inside the White House that they were even circulating a letter calling for the 25th Amendment.

So if that's possible, will the religious right get behind this religious character who's embraced the far-right kind of Opus Dei version of Catholicism?

I don't think so.

And I think that, you know, Vance's problem is, is that he just blows wherever the wind blows and he's, he's also an equally reprehensible candidate in his own right.

I found it a little shocking.

I suspect there are different levels of... people that respect the Muslim faith, just like there are ultra-Orthodox Jews and there are Opus Dei Catholics.

I don't know of anyone, and I know a lot of Muslim people, family members, and I don't know anybody that answers the call to prayer that supports...

In the prayer from the liturgy, For the feast day of St. Josemaria, which is June 26th, we pray, O God, who raised up your priests, St. Josemaria and the church, to proclaim the universal call to holiness and the apostolate.

Today is a very special feast day for us in Opus Dei and for all people who have devotion to St. Josemaria.

It's the anniversary of his canonization.

He was canonized on October 6th, 2002.

I had the good fortune of being there with my family.

And also recently, just a few days ago, on October 2nd, we celebrated the anniversary of the founding of Opus Dei, the day in which St. Josemaria saw Opus Dei, October 2nd, 1928.

And so with this meditation, we want to reflect in the presence of our Lord here, exposed in the Blessed Sacrament.

to pray about, draw inspiration from the life of St. Josemaria and the spirit and mission of Opus Dei.

Uh, and you know, Jo- John said, you know, that, that's why I started attending everything from sort of Opus Dei and Communion and Liberation, uh, sort of events all the way over to, you know, San Egidio.

You know, just the covering the full spectrum of, of, of life in- inside the Church.

Um, and I think that sort of expansive, uh, curiosity and, uh, and, and, and really sort of trying to seek out the, the, the, the goodwill and understanding what's motivating everyone is, I think, uh, something that has to be recovered.
