One, you put 'em up in the north, where it's already pretty cold year-round, and it's, it's easier to keep them cool.

Two, you make them build to import LNG or some natural gas to power it and keep it cool, or some of the other things that are in this are, are around the nuclear technologies that Canada's leading the way on, right? It would be remiss of me to come on a show like this and talk about Canadian business and not point out that I have had probably four million emails from people in the last week pointing out that Ontario Power was able to complete its new nuclear refurbishment on time and under budget, and it's, it's, like, one of those things that people are gonna be carrying around like a flag at this meeting to say, "We can do this.

We have done this.

We are doing this." And on the data stuff, that's gonna be really important, being able to show we have the energy.

I worked in the employment law firm for most of my life and I saw this in all kinds of workplaces where there's people who are vulnerable, who find workplace culture is very difficult to deal with.

I worked for Ontario Power Generation, which was an industrial workplace.

And I was looking into diversity issues around mental health in the workplace, which this novel does deal with mental health.

And you'd find that people who had mental health issues could not deal with, say, cracking humor in the workplace the way some other people did.

Um, but as well, uh, just literally a couple kilometers from my house was one of Canada's largest nuclear plants.

It was being built while I was growing up, uh, by Ontario Power Generation, and there's always been this sort of utility mindset for me, something in the back of my mind, which eventually brought me to utilities back in 2020.

I'm still relatively new to, to utilities, but I love it.

It's amazing.

And so what we have from the standpoint of uranium is also, uh, a key thing.

The conversations, um, you know, even we've been having at the Canada-EU Trade and Investment Association with some, um, companies in, uh, in Eastern Europe around enormous interest with respect to the small modular reactors that are being developed in Darlington with, uh, with OPG.

And so there are other, uh, ways to, uh, to come at the energy, uh, issue that are gonna be part of the solution long term.

Rocco Rossi is a board member of the Canada-EU Trade and Investment Association, an organization, Rocco, I had not heard of until this morning.

Darlington finished under budget and kept its workforce intact.

Ontario Power Generation completed the refurbishment of all four reactors at the Darlington Nuclear Generating Station earlier this year.

The $921-12.8 billion project finished four months ahead of schedule and a $108-150 million under budget, according to OPG.

Before construction even began, the utility spent roughly a decade on equipment assessment, detailed planning, procurement, and workforce training.

This is, as I mentioned earlier, this is a decision we're making for 100 years, right? And so we have launched a request for information process.

We're working in close collaboration with Ontario Power Generation, the government of Ontario, because we want to make sure that we are driving to an outcome that is going to serve not only ourselves well, but be able to attract investors, but most importantly, protect rate payers over the long run.

And so when people say, what technology are you going to select in Ontario? I always say that's a very easy answer.

We're going to select a technology that is designed.
