According to Oil Price Information Service, or OPIS, a Dow Jones company, the national average for a gallon of diesel reached $6.53 today, up nearly a dollar over the past month.

[upbeat music]In the Middle East, Saudi Arabia is running tests on its east-west oil pipeline, a step towards restoring flows as soon as this week.

The pipeline, which had been knocked out by attacks earlier this month, is being tested for structural integrity and pressure.
