So, in the wake of the suppression of the Society of Jesus, different religious orders emerged to carry on the mantle of the Ignatian tradition.

One such order, the Oblates of the Virgin Mary, founded by Venerable Bruno Lanteri, who himself was formed by Jesuits, took it upon themselves to continue offering the spiritual exercises.

Their work and mission continued even after the formal restoration of the Society of Jesus.

And in fact, one of the most preeminent writers on Ignatian discernment today, Father Timothy Gallagher, OMV, is our guest today.
