So how is OpenSysML related to OpenMBE? And maybe we have to clarify what is OpenMBE.

So OpenMBE is, is the, uh, NumFOCUS sponsored project overall, and I think the scope of OpenMBE has always been more of a digital engineering focus, um, you know, covering lots of different digital engineering topics, digital threads.

Um, and, you know, a, a key part of that has, has always been the SysML language.

Um, so with the emergence of Open-- with emergence of SysML v2, I think this community kind of spawned out of that complementary need, um, of, of having a, a, a base open source way to run and share SysML models.

Um, but it's also its own specific discipline practice, so this community just kind of formed, I think, out of that need.

I would say it's a, uh, a sub-community or a complementary community of the overall OpenMBE community.

So it all falls under that umbrella from a sponsored NumFOCUS project standpoint.

Right.

And I do think even for me it can seem surprising or kind of like... irrational like not always clear but it it does i think when you zoom out to the like decades long like how can we support open source what what from the ecosystem is going to be around a decade yeah it's the first principles thinking so like

when we added support for jupiter notebook and jupiter lab into our products I was like, before we release this, what's the organization that supports this work? And it's like Numfocus.

I'm like, great, let's go get introduced to Numfocus and let's donate.

Let's make sure that we are part of their roster.

And I remember thinking to myself, I'm like, great, like we're going to do the best we can.

Okay.

He invented things like SciPy, NumPy, NumFocus.

Anaconda is a company that he built.

He invented the ima- imaging libraries for Python, which is a language that most of modern internet is built on.
