A lot of times I do recommend just cutting out the entire pump and motor and putting in a variable speed pump in its place because it's usually a much more effective and efficient way.

I'm not saying that the Sentry and Nidec VS motors themselves with the controller in the back is bad in itself.

It's just that if you have a Pentair, you know, easy touch or, you know, a IntelliTouch system, it's better to put a Pentair WhisperFlow VS Pump there so it can communicate better with the system.

And honestly, if your pump's 10 years old, I would just cut it out and put a VS Pump and Motor in its place.
