What did you learn at the New York State Senate?

That politics is weird.

It's a tough business to work in.

Today we're here with Russell Van Brocklin.

He is a New York State Senate-funded dyslexia researcher and the founder of dyslexiaclasses.com. His work focuses on helping struggling learners build reading and writing skills by beginning with their strongest abilities rather than repeatedly drilling their weakest ones.

His inaugural program moved college-bound students from a middle school writing level to the average range of entering graduate students on the GRE Analytical Writing Assessment in one school year.

Every participant later graduated from college with a GPA between 2.5 and 3.6.

Again, by

the way, I was the assistant to the secretary of the New York State Senate.

I used to work on major political campaigns in Westchester County, the richest county in America.

I designed and instructed a course called American Politics and Campaign Technology.

And we fail to realize how much our rights are being trampled upon by Kathy Hochul and the New York State Legislature, which is super super majority Democrat in the assembly.

And it's almost super majority Democrat in the New York State Senate.

They do have a majority in the Senate.

And they're one seat away of having a Democrat supermajority in the Senate.

We're seeing this over and over again.

This summer, Abir Kawas won a New York State Senate seat endorsed by Zoran Mamdani.

He's with the Democrat Socialists of America.

There's photographs of her in a Hamas-style headband.

19 trained jihadis, four airliners, coordinated hits on America.

But to her, it was a couple people.

She won a New York State Senate primary.

It's insane.

I will proudly honor the families, the survivors, the first responders forever impacted by that horrific terror attack by standing alongside them at this year's 9/11 commemoration, reaffirming that we will never forget the solemn day felt by all of us who call this city home, and frankly, by all of us who call this country home

homeMamdani endorsed Aber Kawas of the New York State Senate.

He has described the 9/11 attacks as something, quote, "A couple of people did," and expressed sympathy for Ahmed Ferhani, who pleaded guilty to plotting to blow up a Manhattan synagogue.

And again, more and more of this stuff is just...

which is a Sharia-compliant Islamic bond from countries like Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia.

And bringing this back to New York, similar story, I think quite timely in light of obviously remembering 9-11, the New York Senate, as we speak, It's actively working.

There's been a state bill introduced.

It's S3901 to create a Sharia compliant state bond.

But the buried lead, that other guy, the radical Islamic one from Staten Island, his memo is a lot more explicit about the bill saying that it is to, quote, comport with their religious beliefs as Muslims These fellows, these folks that are, like I said, pushing New York State to create an Islamic Sharia compliant bond are all over the Islamic financing world.

They're always speaking at conferences, basically kowtowing to the Gulf states, stuff like that.

They celebrated in 2025, the New York Senate adopted a resolution by one of these same individuals that celebrated, quote, the rise of Sharia compliant finance in the American marketplace.

The same city that had 9-11 happen is now being badgered and beaten by a bunch of, I don't even know their citizenship status, people into creating Islamic bonds.

Took me a couple of years to learn to write.

So then I go back to the New York State Senate because my senator is the majority leader of the Senate.

And I said, I want you to fund my dyslexia research program, which they don't do, but they were very intrigued.

So they sent me over to the New York State Education Department.

A special thank you goes to our Western New York representatives, Dan Tone and Diane Steele, whose commitment and service are excellent examples of what volunteer conservation leadership can accomplish.

Assemblyman Joe Angelo Angelino also presented the Council with a joint resolution from the New York State Senate and Assembly, a meaningful recognition of the organization's continued efforts.

And in a fitting moment, President Krawczyk presented outgoing President and President Emeritus Keith Tridbill with an engraved compass, an appreciation for his leadership over the past two years.

Congratulations to every newly elected officer and director, and sincere congratulations to every awardcipient.
