Netlify

Start, build and ship full-stack apps on the platform built for agent experience (AX). AI makes it easy to generate code. The harder part comes next. Getting changes live. Keeping systems stable. Understanding what broke when something doesn’t behave as expected. That challenge grows as updates happen faster and more often. That’s the gap we’re closing. Netlify brings the whole development workflow into one platform. Start, ship, build, run, all in the same place. Builders and agents move from idea to production quickly, without losing context. We coined this agent experience (AX), a shared workflow where humans and AI agents work side by side, taking responsibility for shipping quality software. We bring together modern web frameworks, serverless functions, edge computing and managed Postgres in one platform. Leading AI coding agents like Claude Code, Codex CLI and Gemini CLI come built in. The result is an unmatched user experience for anyone who builds with AI. More than 14 million builders use Netlify, from solo developers and vibe coders to Fortune 100 companies and teams at Figma, Mattel, and Riot Games.www.netlify.com

Depending on the access you've connected and the permissions you've given it, it can work between conversations and come back with a result or something you need to decide.
Kym TolsonHOST

We had to get specific about those differences.

You know, so often it's like, well, how do I share this thing I built with somebody? It's like, what if I could put it on a static file server? Netlify or something like that.
Calvin Hendryx-ParkerHOST
24:13
Yeah, I like the offline desktop executable mode as well.
Calvin Hendryx-ParkerHOST
24:17
Like you can build a desk, like an app, you can just app bundle, you can hand someone or an exe that someone can just run without any other dependencies.
Paige NiedringhausHOST

They are back again.
Paige NiedringhausHOST
26:17
So this one, the article that I linked to is from Netlify.
Paige NiedringhausHOST
26:23
It's probably been written up by others as well, but there were two new critical vulnerabilities that were identified in the month of October so far for Next.js and React and one high vulnerability.
Paige NiedringhausHOST
26:34
So All of them had to do with remote code execution.

A URL action needs a URL, which is a web address and not an HTML file.
Katie BuenoGUEST
94:40
So I just utilize Netlify as a service to put my file on the Internet to create this URL.
Katie BuenoGUEST
94:49
URL that I can utilize in Tableau.
Katie BuenoGUEST
94:52
And so now Tableau has the address to load, but how does Tableau tell the code which Pokemon to show? So this is what it looks like when I create my URL action and you'll kind of see it here.

That figure had barely moved across two years of model releases.
David SavageHOST
4:02
And so you've got kind of loads of apps being built on platforms like Lovable and Base44 and Netlify.
David SavageHOST
4:10
where you've got almost zero security or authentication there.
David SavageHOST
4:15
So again, these bots, agents that people are using for personal use, I worry how many of them, especially if they're accessing things like bank accounts, are also providing massive security flaws and holes.
Mark CreaserHOST
66:36
So this doesn't even need to use the model.
Mark CreaserHOST
66:37
Like I reckon could, could build this in Netlify in 25 minutes.
Mark CreaserHOST
66:43
But what it does is it articulates, it demonstrates, it illustrates what you actually do.
Mark CreaserHOST
66:52
Yeah.

And then obviously for the past five, six years, it's been Hugo using Cloudflare Pages as a static site.
Chris TitusHOST

I think actually I started it off with Netlify and then I moved to Cloudflare.

but hugo's kind of bursting at the seam i still absolutely adore hugo it's a fantastic minimal site generator so i highly recommend it but i did move to astro mainly because there was some settings that i needed to change there was there was an extra functionality and i was doing a lot with the site to where i was really bastardizing or frankensteining hugo to something that it didn't need to be but before we get into that Here's a word from our sponsor, Blacksmith, a replacement for GitHub Runners.

And is, is anything else working for you guys right now to, I guess, grow the newsletter or the community both?
Milly TamatiGUEST
43:50
yeah one thing that's worked exceptionally well recently is I basically so we write our newsletter on beehive it's on a Tuesday it's a job ops like job opportunities edition we like curate 40 or 50 different jobs from all around the internet and it's all like hand curated loads of personality people love it and then one day it was like a Saturday afternoon I was like oh what if I like vibe coded on Claude and published it on Netlify like a jobs board and what if we just called it the weird jobs board and now this sounds so simple and it is so simple like it's barely an innovation it all I added was the weird bit in it and I made this Instagram video that went bananas and in the first three weeks 900 000 people had seen this video and so our signups was like a um so that jobs board has essentially become a lead magnet and it's just what we're already publishing in the newsletter anyway
Tyler MorinHOST
44:53
That's amazing.
Tyler MorinHOST
44:54
That is the best case of repurposing content I've heard in a long time.
