Bayer and Neste finalized a commercial agreement to scale Bayer's New Gold Winter Canola as a lower-carbon feedstock for renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel, expanding acreage across the U.S. southern Great Plains.

Corteva and Globochem formed a 50-50 crop protection joint venture for Europe and the Americas.

Joining me for this episode, I have Jörg Hübner, who is the head of Global Accounts, Renewable Fuels and Solutions at Neste, and we have Tarja Koski, Senior Sustainability Manager at Finnair.

Jörg, Tarja, it is great to have both of you here with us today.

Let's drive in to today's episode, and maybe you could start off by telling us a little bit about Neste and Finnair, your core activities, and why you're on the couch together today.

Yeah, sure.

Um, so I'm, uh, Tarja Koski, as, uh, mentioned, and Senior Sustaba- Sustainability Manager at Finnair.

Thanks for having that dialogue.

I mean, uh, we can only win together in this challenge ahead of us, fighting climate change.

Uh, what my team does at Bloomberg Intelligence, we're equity research analysts by trade, so we cover a lot of the public equities in the space.

Think of Darling Ingredients, Green Plains, Neste, et cetera.

But really what we identified maybe four or five years ago now was in order to cover these companies properly, we really need to understand the fundamentals of the policy it is that drives the economics.

And so that's when we really started deepening our work within the RFS and modeling out every bit of it, and really our bread and butter, you kind of spoke to Opus' bread and butter being, you know, the RIN prices.

The one place where there is new capacity scheduled to come online is Europe, and so I think that's a place that you really have to keep a, a close eye on into next year.

So it's the lone source of supply growth throughout 2027.

Uh, there's a really, really big plant of Neste Rotterdam expansion.

It's 1.3 million metric tons per year is scheduled to come on at some point next year.
