He has degrees in physics.

He has been in Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada international postdoctoral candidate in prestigious research laboratories in both France and the Netherlands.

He was a researcher in interdisciplinary research.

And that was my question for you is, can you explain for the inquiry? where an interdisciplinary researcher is.

I'm currently the chair in Architecture, Energy, and Environment.

That is a, a granting agency in Quebec called the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada sponsoring it, along with Hydro-Québec, and the Ministry of Environment from Quebec.

And the main focus of the chair position right now is called Reconstruct.

It's about building out a, um, a deep energy retrofit program for Quebec and for Canada, and it's part of a much larger network here.

He helped a lot with the grass species experiments.

And thank you, of course, for the generous funding from UBC and NSERC.

With this, we're actually at the end of the episode.

So that can be anything from, like, award management.

So when someone wins an award from a tri-agency, so a SSHRC, an NSERC, or a CIHR postdoc, I usually liaise with them, their faculty supervisor, their department, help make sure that their award is going well.

I also help with people completing their applications with CIHR, so a little bit of award management.

Do some professional development support, which is super fun, so getting to run programming with different partners across campus, anyone from, from HR over to some individual faculty members.

and send me all over the world to all those conferences.

I would never, as she used to say, never say anything bad about the good NSERC, David.

I will never say anything bad about the good NSERC.

She always called it the good NSERC too, which I thought was kind of neat.

But again, it's an important thing, I think, to realize that when we go to grad school, we're all being trained to be Jeff Galef, to be Sarah Shutterworth.

And we're not all going to be that because other people, there are other jobs that have to be done too.
