The Cooperative Financial Corporation, or as we refer to it as CFC, was founded by a whole big group of electric cooperatives many years ago when REA funding was brought into question during the Nixon administration.

Basically, all the cooperatives in the country, electric cooperatives, own a piece of the Cooperative Financial Corporation.
