National General Insurance

helping support the product managers for the Midwestern states at a company I was working at called Hallmark.

And that went really well, got recruited away to another company, and then just started working my way up through the product management ranks, became a product manager for NatGen and Allstate on both the independent agent side and on the captive agent side.

And recently, several months ago, I started my new role here at RiskPoint, which is a risk theory company based out of Dallas, Texas.

We are an MGA, MGU.

They've gone from over 10,000 exclusive agents to my latest count that I've heard from some folks is about 4,000.

So they're going to more of a direct model, more of a... a model where they want to get business from not only their exclusive agents, but independent agents through their national general brand.

And before we started recording, you indicated to me that it appears they're also doing a test project with virtual agents, like AI driven, like a real AI native kind of

agency situation.

Sure.

So he was the president or chairman of the board guess both of a company called national general and they started mostly as an insurance company but they ended up becoming more of a conglomerate that uh they really ended up specializing in movie theaters as a matter of fact they uh purchased the the man's chinese theater here in hollywood and um became really relevant in, uh, in the movie business as far as distribution goes.

And, um, he was invited into that company.

They were at the time, it was the great American insurance company, um, because he had a history, um, with the, selling used cars.

And, um, he were, he had retired.

Um, he, his goal was to retire a millionaire and he did so.

And I think his thirties and, um, national general, or at the time, the great American insurance company was losing a lot of money.

And, um, They came to him and said, would you be willing to join our board and help us turn things around? He said, I'll do it if you leave me alone and just sort of let me do my thing.
