Mike was named the 2025 CDT of the Year, but his story goes way beyond that award.

From getting his start at Keller back in 2001, working his way through casting, metal finishing, quality control, training to become a department and production manager, eventually opening his own lab, becoming a CDT examiner, serving on the NBC Board of Trustees.

Jesus, he's an overachiever.

So Larry asked me if I could look at what it would take for Keller to become a host laboratory.

And so this would have been in probably 2000 and late 2008, early 2009.

And so I looked into it and this is how I got my start with working with the NBC and the NADL.

Just reaching out and looking at what we had to do to become a host lab.
