Napalm Records

Today we welcome Glory Hammer frontman Sozo's Michael to the podcast.

The new Glory Hammer record, Space 1993, rap of core Beer Life, is out this Friday on Napalm Records.

Sozos talks about getting into power metal and the challenges of the metal community in Cyprus, joining Eons Enthroned and Glory Hammer, the writing process for Space 1993 and creating a sci-fi story, and more.

Thanks so much for listening to this episode of As The Story Grows.

The first song I played you was The Banner, followed up by Fear the Sun.

You can look for the brand new Prong album arriving on November the 6th on Napalm Records, and you can look for the complete interview that I did with Tommy Victor arriving on the Different Stages Radio YouTube channel tomorrow, Wednesday, October the 14th.

Thanks again to Tommy Victor for spending time with Different Stages Radio.

I'm now gonna move on to an album by a band that I wanted to play last week, but there's always the twists and turns.

It's called Rats in the Temple.

It's on Napalm Records.

I think we talked about it before.

This is one of those bands who are creating their best stuff right now in the later years of their careers.

It's Teutonic Titans.

It's like a tribute to themselves.

It's on Napalm Records.

Man, just look at the list of talent that has come together to pay tribute to these songs, which is cool, 'cause you still got Accept playing on them, too.

In this first two-song set from Sweden, we're gonna hear from Siebenbürgen.

Yeah, going back to their album, Darker Designs and Images, from 2005 on Napalm Records.

I think this is their fourth, maybe fifth, if memory serves, and we're gonna hear a song called Harvest for the Devil.

And starting off, Nagelfar, the title track of their fifth album, simply entitled Harvest, and this one came out in 2007 on Century Media Records, and this was featuring their newer vocalist at the time.

And I looked on Discogs and indeed there are several Killing Sprees, but none of them are notable at all.

One of them did have, like, a release on Napalm-

Mm-hmm

...

Yes, fantastic.

Napalm Records released their 14th effort back on August 28th, and we're gonna hear the title track called Dark Asylum.

I've also read a little bit of criticism online about this album, some people saying that it's kind of the same, but that never bothers me.

I would much prefer something done consistently and with a signature style than, uh, radical stylift- stylistic changes from album to album.

Yeah, the album is called Rats in the Temple, and for them, it's also their 17th album, just like Stryper.

17, and I'm proud to say that I have all of them.

[laughs] Big Flotsam fan from way back in the day, and, uh, this one came out, Napalm Records, back on August 28th.

And again, another, um, just another fantastic ...
